Petrified Forest National Park, AZ

Holbrook is close to the Petrified Forest National Park. It has a road that takes you back tot he other side of I40, showing you the whole anomaly of a national park. It looks like an entire forest exploded, and out of sheer shock and awe, the trees just got so scared and ‘petrified’ that they froze in time.

There’s a fancy scientific explanation, but pretty much:
There were trees
Then there was some great catastrophe
Trees were buried
Trees became fossilized
Trees are now rocks
Make National Park.
