This would be my second time rolling through Williams, Arizona. It’s a Route 66 town, but compared to the other smaller 66 towns, it is full of life mostly because it is at the junction leading to the southern rim of the Grand Canyon. If you find yourself in Williams, you have to check out the Great Sultana. It’s a Saloon with the claim of the ‘longest running bar’ in Arizona. It isn’t as old as St Elmos, but it still sold booze as a speak easy through the prohibition, which may make it the oldest bar in Arizona still in business today.
